Know the plan requirement first
Choose Organize during account setup when you plan to run a fundraiser, community sale, or market. Creating events requires the current Organizer plan or another plan that includes event creation; check Pricing for the current price and limits before you finish setup.
Your storefront can still stay Hidden while you prepare inventory and event details.
Prepare the event carefully
- Choose the event's named IANA timezone, then enter the local wall-clock schedule buyers should follow.
- Use only a public-safe location label and map point. Add optional Parking, Accessibility, Pickup expectations, and Weather plan guidance in their dedicated fields; Weather plan is organizer guidance, not a live forecast.
- Every new event starts as a private Draft. Save details, open the protected buyer preview, and publish only after the date, time, timezone, and location are correct.
- Spring-forward times that do not exist are rejected. If a fall daylight-saving hour repeats, Forsale uses the first occurrence and shows the named timezone on every event surface.
- Link only participating storefronts you are authorized to include.
Verify before promotion
Open Preview buyer view and verify the date, time, named timezone, public location, arrival guidance, participants, and inventory. Publish explicitly, then test Directions, Add to Calendar, the canonical Share link, and any flyer QR destination before promoting it. The calendar download includes a one-hour alert, but calendar apps decide whether imported alerts are supported.
