Seller-enabled checkout methods
Cash pickup is available when the storefront enables manual checkout. Card checkout appears only when the seller's connected Stripe account is charge-ready and the storefront enables card checkout.
A subscription plan and a buyer payment are different: Outseta manages Forsale account-plan billing, while Stripe handles connected card checkout and Credit Boost purchases.
Stripe readiness and payouts
- Open My Storefront settings and start or resume Stripe setup.
- Complete the identity, business, bank, and terms steps Stripe requires.
- Return to Forsale and confirm both charge and payout readiness before enabling card checkout.
- Use Stripe for processor payout timing, card refunds, and disputes. Timing depends on Stripe review, the connected bank, and the account's payout schedule.
Refunds and fees
Cash refunds are arranged directly between buyer and seller. Card refunds and disputes are managed through the seller's connected Stripe account. Cash sales have no Forsale platform fee. Stripe processing, payout, dispute, and other provider fees are separate from the Forsale fee and can vary.
- Free Seller: 1.5% + $0.15 Forsale fee; $1.65 on a $100.00 card sale, before Stripe fees.
- Seller Plus: 0.75% + $0.10 Forsale fee; $0.85 on a $100.00 card sale, before Stripe fees.
- Organizer: 0.5% Forsale fee; $0.50 on a $100.00 card sale, before Stripe fees.
- Market Pro: 0.25% Forsale fee; $0.25 on a $100.00 card sale, before Stripe fees.
