Credits and processing recovery

Know which actions use Credits and recover without creating duplicate work.

What uses a Credit

  • Prepare an assisted item draft: Uses 1 Credit and requires a useful photo.
  • Refine an item draft: Uses 1 Credit.
  • Photo batch: 1 Credit per created item after grouping uploaded photos.
  • Save manual draft does not use a Credit.
  • Quick Sale matching: Uses 1 Credit; it works against existing live inventory and does not create item listings.

Included Credits use a rolling 30-day window and do not bank or roll over. Included Credits are used first. Purchased Credit Boosts are used next and do not expire under the current package terms.

Recover a failed task

  1. Read the visible failure reason and keep the existing draft, upload batch, or sale session open.
  2. Retry failed photo uploads individually before starting a Photo batch.
  3. Use Retry Processing only when the existing failed task offers it. Forsale reuses that task, its draft, and its photos; duplicate clicks remain one queued retry.
  4. Running, completed, and cancelled tasks cannot be requeued. If a terminal failure repeats, choose the visible manual-edit or single-item alternative, then contact support with the task type, page, approximate time, and visible error. Do not send private photos by email unless support requests a safe upload path.

Credit policy during recovery

Retrying the same eligible processing task costs 0 additional Credits. A new assisted draft or Photo batch is a separate action and shows its shared Credit cost before submission. Failed work is not automatically refunded; the original draft and manual editing remain available. If a duplicate charge or processing error leaves the balance incorrect, stop before paying or submitting again and contact support for review.
